10 Verses For When You're Looking For Peace
May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless his people with peace! - Psalm 29:11
Peace is something we all crave, but a lot of times I don’t think we realize it’s peace that we’re looking for. We feel uneasy. We feel tired. We worry. We wonder. We wrestle with unrest. We are juggling all the things that are the opposite of peace.
But we need peace. We can’t thrive in this life without it. And we won’t be able to find it apart from Christ.
There is so much truth to be found in Scripture about peace. And I’ve listed several of those verses out below for you to pray through and meditate on for the rest of this week. But one thing I want you to keep in mind is that peace is one of the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
That means when we have the Holy Spirit living within us, we always have access to peace. Even when our lives feel like they’re falling apart, even when our circumstances seem hopeless, even when our relationships are broken and our hearts are shattered, we can still have peace because we have the Holy Spirit.
So whatever you’re walking through today, I pray that these ten verses will remind you that the peace of God is yours to grab and take hold of. And I hope that you will experience the peace only He can give as you continue to follow Him.
