10 Verses For When You Feel Shame
I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed. - Psalm 34:4-5
I have no doubt that shame is one of the enemy’s favorite weapons against us. He loves when we feel ashamed, when we sit in our guilt, when we forget we are free from condemnation because of Jesus.
Shame has a way of keeping us down and making us feel captive, and that’s not at all how the Lord wants us to live each day as we follow Him. He wants us to live in victory. He wants us to feel free. And He wants us to remember that He has paid the price so our shame doesn’t have to linger.
If you need to be reminded of these truths today, I hope you’ll take some time to read through the list of verses below and meditate on them. Pray them back to the Lord as you talk to Him and ask Him to help you live each day according to what His Word says about you and about your shame, rather than giving into the lies the enemy tries to whisper in your ear to keep you feeling shameful.
