Looking For Answers
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your path straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
With the state our world is currently in, it can be very easy for us to panic, worry, and overthink. We can’t seem to figure out what’s going on, why this is happening, or how long these circumstances are going to last. When we find ourselves in the midst of so much unknown, we become frustrated because we realize we don’t have all the answers.
But honestly, I think it’s a good thing that we’ve come to a place where we realize that. We don’t have all the answers, and we never will have all the answers. What a humbling statement that is for us to hold onto.
My prayer is that we never get so full of ourselves that we don’t have room to realize that in Jesus there is hope, there is peace, and there is joy. We don’t need to have complete and total and understanding to grasp those promises He gives us.
Just as Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your path straight.”
The Lord wants to give you insight where the world cannot. He wants to give you peace where the world cannot. And He wants to give you comfort where the world cannot. But in order to receive those gifts, we have to trust Him. We have to lean on His understanding and power rather than our own. And we must come to terms with the fact that we don’t, nor will we ever, have all the answers.
